If I could only use one word to describe the service and the food here at Basil Leaf, it would be “ amazing, delicious, mouthwatering, excellent”. Ok maybe I couldn’t use one word to describe this place :) This is my wife’s favorite restaurant. We will drive here from Santa Fe anytime. The shrimp spring rolls are to die for.
Our family had a wonderful dinner at Basil Leaf! We went snowboarding in Santa Fe and enjoyed a delicious meal after a long day. We waited about ten minutes for a table for five. Our group ordered 1 chicken spring role (2 rolls), 3 Beef Pho, 1 chicken salad, 1 kid’s chicken noodles, and 1 mango sticky rice dessert. Our server was fantastic and attentive. The dining area is open with plenty of seating. It was a packed house on a Wednesday evening during spring break. No surprise since the food is incredible! We look forward to coming back.
I ordered the lemongrass beef spring rolls and the combination noodle dish to go. The order was made super fast and everything was amazingly fresh. If you want something light, fresh, and filling them this is the place. The portion sizes are huge.
Food, Service and Atmosphere are excellent! The food choices are incredible!! Food is fast and flavors are GREAT!!! One of the best PHO in Albuquerque!!!
A clean and cozy spot. The service was great! My husband got the Catfish and I got the Spicy Beef Pho. The catfish was absolutely delicious! We will be ordering it again next time. The Pho was also good. It wasn't the best I've tasted, but satisfied my craving. We also ordered Spring rolls. These came with a peanut butter tasting dip which was surprisingly good. Our only complaint is the drinks I got the Pickled Plum soda to try it. The flavor was salty and sweet. A little too overwhelming for me, and it wasn't carbonated. I think the carbonation would have been a good addition, so that was a bit sad. They only had canned sodas. The price per drink, especially since most do not give free refills, is just insane. We paid 5-6 for a single drink, which was a canned sodas and the Plum Soda. I can understand the high price of the soda was prepared in restaurant, but I'm unsure about that. Overall, we paid about 20 per person. We will be back! We did enjoy ourselves.
2nd time here and food is delicious. Haven't had a plate I didn't like or that at least wasn't prepared to expectations. It's like they go out of the way to make sure all greens are always fresh, crispy. We were seated within an hour from closing (which always makes me anxious) but we were visiting from out of state and wanted to come back. Made no difference, service was friendly, fast and to par.
We came on a Thursday afternoon and the place was packed full but we were able to get a table right away. We ordered a couple of appetizers (spring roll and egg roll). The egg rolls were definitely the star of the two even for being smaller than other restaurants. We also ordered jasmine tea and for the entree we got the vermicelli noodles with pork and egg roll. The bowl of food was much bigger compared to other places and the meat and veggies tasted fresh and was very satisfying. The service was great as there was always someone and asking if we needed anything. The bathroom was very clean and it was easy to check out. Will return again and again as it has been a Vietnamese highlight in Albuquerque.

I've been SEARCHING for a place like this for years! The food is so amazing so fresh and great quality! The service is amazing and always so friendly and fast! I've been twice and I'm already obsessed and ready to go back for more! I loved the dumpling soup and the spring rolls! I'm excited to try thr egg rolls and pho next! 10/10 will come back and recommend!!
